＜11月のロンドン歩く会 写真レポート＞Saturday 18th November, Box Hill Surrey Hills walk

Denbies Vineyard

Box Hill walk - Sat 18th Nov 2017. A.M. - Everybody met up at Boxhill and Westhumble Stn at 10.21 and after a brief introduction we walked up the road to Westhumble Chapel on the opposite side of the valley from Box Hill. 

Then along some footpaths with good views across the valley and came to Denbies wine estate. 





We walked alongside the vineyard and then along A24 to the tea room at the base of Box Hill. 
After a short rest we walked up Box Hill to the National Trust shop and cafe where we had lunch. 

P.M. - After lunch we had the group photo at Solomons Memorial which has a beautiful view of the countryside to the south. We continued on the National Trust Juniper top Walk through the woods where we saw some interesting old Yew trees and some beautiful autumn colour. 

Then we walked back down the side of Box Hill to the famous stepping stones over the River Mole. 
We finally followed the river back to the Stepping Stones Pub at 3.30pm where everybody enjoyed drinks for an hour before heading back home.
