＜７月のロンドン歩く会・写真レポート＞ Surrey Hills Walk on Saturday 20th July

We met at Guildford train station at 10.00 and set off along the River Wey out of Guildford.
Then we headed up the North Downs way into Chantry Woods and to some viewing spots.
We carried on along picturesque footpaths and through Chilworth Gunpowder Mills where we also encountered a deer just a few yards away.
Lunch (and local ales) were taken at The Drummond pub in Albury.
After lunch we walked through beautiful woodland to Saint Martha's Hill church where we were fortunate to witness a wedding coming out of the church.
From there we walked along more footpaths to Pewley Down (a beauty spot just outside Guildford) and down to the bowling green and castle.
We finished up at the Kings Head pub for a goodbye drink. Desite adverse weather forecasts it was cloudy with sunshine and a nice breeze and only one shower for 15 minutes.

雨予報を覆す曇りのち晴れた土曜日。
朝１０時にギルドフォードに集合した５人は地元の利を生かした入念なリーダーの下調べ済みのルートを丘あり、アニマルウォッチングあり、景色ありの多彩なコースを楽しみました。
メンバーから送っていただいた写真も入れておきます。

森林浴

ここで、カエルが登場！
小さいカエルが飛んでいるのを、目のいいリーダーが奇跡的に発見。
拡大しているけど、１センチあるかないかくらいの大きさ。

そして今度は道の端に銅像のように突っ立っていた子鹿。
初めはわたしたちを見てパニクっていたようで、動かなかったのですが、写真を撮ろうとしたらすごい勢いで走って逃げて行きました。

１２時半、煙突の村、アルバリー到着。
パブでランチ。

２時、パブを出発。
知らない人はわかんないだろう、というような秘蔵のコースを辿り、森林浴を楽しみます。
登りを繰り返し、セントマーサの丘へ。
丘の上の教会では結婚式があり、ドローンで上から写真を撮っていたカメラマンに、わたしたちの写真撮影の邪魔をされてしまいました。

ここまでくれば町中はすぐ。４時ごろ、お城の庭園を見学したあと、近くのパブで解散としました。
