７月のロンドン歩く会のお知らせ Roding Valley nature reserve and Epping Forest Walk on Sunday 17th July

🇬🇧This is a river walk in the local nature reserve, this followed (after lunch) by a forest walk. We start at Buckhurst Hill underground station and finishing at Chingford overground station, the full walk is about 9 miles (about 5 hours) plus one hour lunch break at local pub in Loughton (for the walk bring suitable clothes and walking shoes). Some muddy places are possible.

Take the Central Line underground (Epping branch) train to Buckhurst Hill (one stop before Loughton). Meet at Buckhurst Hill underground station at 10:15am (main entrance).

 We walk from Buckhurst Hill Station towards the Roding valley following the valley through the nature reserve and keeping to the river where possible.  We will try to walk the full length of the reserve (time permitting) before heading back towards Loughton and local pub lunch break at 12:30. 

After lunch at 1:30 we will enter the high part of Epping Forest heading down to the main path in the direction of Loughton/Chingford. We will pass through this delightful ancient forest, seeing several ponds on the way. We must cross one very busy/fast road, so please take care here.

In approximately two and half hours we will reach Queen Elizabeth’s Hunting Lodge/ Epping Forest Museum/gallery and shop, together with pub at Chingford.  Chingford Station is a short walk away, trains head in towards Liverpool Street. 

🇯🇵セントラルラインのバックハースト・ヒルから、チンフォードまで歩きます。途中、ロディング・バレーを進み、自然公園を楽しみます。ランチ後、エッピングフォレストを歩き、エリザベス女王のハンティングロッジやミューぜアム、ギャラリーやショップを見ることもできます。

ここからそう遠くないチングフォードの駅で解散です。約９マイル・14.4キロのウォークです。

[解散・ finish]   午後４時３０分ごろ、オーバーグラウンド線　チングフォード駅で解散

 ・approx 4.30 pm  at  Chingford overground station (zone 5)
